Connection through a supported diagnostic socket. Port shape alone does not establish ECU or protocol support.
8-pin connection
A connector option named in the service. Eight pins alone do not identify the protocol or mean a bench procedure.
Bench / external ECU connector
A supported procedure connects at the ECU’s external connector. ECU housing can remain closed where the protocol allows.
Open ECU / board access
A protocol-specific procedure accesses the internal board. It may require opening the housing and dedicated adapters.
